Nice twisting plot. Book kept me interested until the end. There are some extremely graphic parts of story , I struggled thru them

Can't listen another minute!
Revisado: 10-28-15
I listen to MANY audio books and this is the FIRST book that I cannot listen to past chapter 11. The story is all over the place and boring, the narrator (bless her heart she's just doing her job) but it is dreadful. I cannot get into this story one bit and can't believe I lasted until chapter 11 (or maybe 12 I don't remember). I cannot imagine wasting another 10+ hours of my life on this boring story. Like I said, I listen to many audio books and this is the first I have ever disliked so much.

Historia
Summer vacation on the island was supposed to be a restorative time for Kate, who'd lost her close friend Elizabeth in a sudden accident. But when she inherits a trunk of Elizabeth's journals, they reveal a woman far different than the cheerful wife and mother Kate had known. The complicated portrait of Elizabeth--her upbringing, her marriage, and journey to motherhood--makes Kate question not just their friendship, but her most fundamental beliefs about loyalty and deception at a time when she is uncertain in her own marriage.

Boring. Nothing "Wowed" Me.....
Revisado: 01-13-13
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I wouldnt recommend this book to a friend. this book was boring. There was no climax or anything exciting. It just felt like I was reading the lives of 2 everyday couples dealing with their everyday "issues"..... Nothing Wowed me..... Waste of my time.
What could Nichole Bernier have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Give some sort of explosive ending or even something exciting in the middle of the book.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
the Narrator read very slowly (and i had the speed turned up to normal). she also tried WAY too hard to pronounce evey syllable of every word..... a little over the top.
Could you see The Unfinished Work of Elizabeth D. being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
No.
