Horrible Production. “Pro” is misleading.
Revisado: 08-23-20
Narrator wasn’t great. Lots of breathing and mouth noise. Constantly messing up words. Slow speaking. It was brutal.
Production was awful. Along with mouth noises not being edited, the narrator’s mistakes were left in as well. Lots of rereads.
Had to put book on 1.3x speed to make it tolerable; barely.
As far as the book, it was pretty “meh.” Some knowledge for beginners in the beginning of the book. Then straight into technical knowledge that will get you lost quickly. Couple that with the way the narrator performed, overall not a great book.

Historia
The survivors have come to settle in the mountains of Wyoming, fighting day in and day out to establish a home for themselves in a near-empty world. Things are good at first; scavenging is a workable, short-term solution that seems to be providing all they need. But they know that it’s only a matter of time before the food runs out. They need to scramble to find a sustainable solution before the clock stops, and for a little handful of people up in the mountains, the odds don’t seem very favorable.

I'm a carpenter. So words aren't my thing. This book was fantastic, as the first one was too. Now I patiently wait for the next book. RC was amazing, like always. Nice work, Josh. Keep it up!

Historia
On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener's hand is severed as "the dome" comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when - or if - it will go away.

Killer narrator. Amazing story with a large cast. Raul captures all of the characters just as I imagine King wrote them.

Historia
NASA Astrobiologist and renowned scientist Dr. David Grinspoon brings listeners an optimistic message about humanity's future in the face of climate change. For the first time in Earth's history, our planet is experiencing a confluence of rapidly accelerating changes prompted by one species: Humans. Climate change is only the most visible of the modifications we've made - up until this point, inadvertently - to the planet. And our current behavior threatens not only our own future but that of countless other creatures.

David, was absolutely fantastic. The writing was significantly profound. And the fact that the author IS the narrator, makes it all the best.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to find yourself strapped to a giant rocket that's about to go from zero to 17,500 miles per hour? Or to look back on Earth from outer space and see the surprisingly precise line between day and night? Or to stand in front of the Hubble Space Telescope, wondering if the emergency repair you're about to make will inadvertently ruin humankind's chance to unlock the universe's secrets? Mike Massimino has been there, and in Spaceman he puts you inside the suit.

Historia
For centuries, electricity was seen as little more than a curious property of certain substances that sparked when rubbed. Then, in the 1790s, Alessandro Volta began the scientific investigation that ignited an explosion of knowledge and invention. The force that once seemed inconsequential was revealed to be responsible for everything from the structure of the atom to the functioning of our brains. In harnessing its power, we have created a world of wonders—complete with roller coasters and radar, computer networks and psychopharmaceuticals.

Liked just about all I heard. Except for the loud white noise about 3 minutes from the end of the book.
