Historia
Leland Gaunt opens a new shop in Castle Rock called Needful Things. Anyone who enters his store finds the object of his or her lifelong dreams and desires: a prized baseball card, a healing amulet. In addition to a token payment, Gaunt requests that each person perform a little "deed", usually a seemingly innocent prank played on someone else from town. These practical jokes cascade out of control, and soon the entire town is doing battle with itself. Only Sheriff Alan Pangborn suspects that Gaunt is behind the population's increasingly violent behavior.

Another great book

Mr. King does it again. He always has a way with words, and I also love to listen to his audiobooks when he reads them. It’s like hearing it was in his mind as he wrote it through his voice.

Better than the movie.

The king of horror does it again. The book was very different from the movie. I wish they would’ve stayed closer to the book.

Historia
Welcome to Hayfork, Iowa, a peaceful farming community nestled in the heart of a tranquil valley, a town that looks after its own. It’s a place where gossip is king, but secrets are kept from outsiders, and those who are born there live and die at the mercy of the weather, or the forgiveness of the land. Now a strange terror roams the sky at night, a dread horror lurks among the corn, and a troubled widow gives birth to a boy who glows in the dark. Death on the streets and blood in the fields seed suspicion and division deep in the valley’s fertile soil.

Amazing!

Wow. Just wow. My first Richard Holeman book but if they are all this good and brilliantly written, then I will definitely have to fill my library with his books. The book grabbed me from the opening page and kept me till the end. Really an absolute must read.

The book was really good. The openness of the writer to use certain words and the humor in it made this a great read. It made me laugh out loud at work while I was listening so… yeah I recommend it.
