Awesome
Revisado: 11-28-20
I have read or listened to all the books in the series and had a hard time pinpointing why I like this writing style. Then it hit me... Annie Bellet is mixing first person and third person limited perspective. This gives her the intimate relationship with the reader while allowing to draw on the benefits of classical story telling styles.
Oh, and the story follows the well established author-reader expectations contract. You know what should happen next, just not how. This is why the author keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Well written.

Historia
My whole world changed when I stepped inside the academy. Nothing is right about this place or the other students in it. Here I am, a mere mortal among gods...or monsters. I still can't decide which of these warring factions I belong to, if I belong at all. I only know the one thing that unites them is their hatred of me. Then there's Jaxon Vega. A vampire with deadly secrets who hasn't felt anything for a hundred years.

To much inner dialogue
Revisado: 06-12-20
The story line is good and intriguing. The problem is that there is way too much inner thought. Thought it provides a deeper understanding of the character, it’s placement is in the wrong moments: in the middle of the action. Rather than enhance the action, it dilutes and drags it on. Tracy Wolff, is telling the story more than showing it, and that’s why I can not give it five stars.

Awesome
Revisado: 02-05-20
This is my first book by Cassandra Clare, and it certainly won’t be the last. I picked it up to compare writing styles among various high fantasy authors. Just got done reading a first person view fantasy romance with comparable plot line, and wanted to feel the difference. And oh boy did I. Cassandra Clare did not miss a beat nor the intimate relation between her characters and the reader. She was able to draw me into the head of each character without becoming boring or long winded. In other words she did not need to trade off intimacy for plot vision, that you normally get when choosing to write in third person perspective.
The style was not the only thing that hooked me onto this author. Her ability to manipulate the plot with rich world and character building left me in awe.
Will definitely recommend this book to anyone.

Awesome,incredible and fantastic
Revisado: 09-18-19
This was a masterpiece. I enjoyed the first book, loved the second and are awed by this, the third volume of Nevernight Chronicle. Jay Kristoff breaks the fourth wall with such a skill that I have no choice but to raise him to the rank of top five authors I have ever read.
If you like adventure, magic and action while do not mind deep inner transformation of the soul. This is the book for you.
