Why the background music?

I wish that they had let the poetry speak. The background music was distracting. The poems themselves were wonderful. But the music did not fit the rhythm of the words.

Boring? No. Preachy? No! Complaining? Hail NO! Please don't allow negative reviews to rain on your reading/listening parade. Get an umbrella and get the book. Mrs. Obama has created a hybrid: auto, bio, graphical. She wonderfully weaves instances of personal travail and tenacity while touching on thematic topics that every human should contemplate and internalize.

I drove away INSPIRED. (Ya know, 'cause I was listening in my car. 8-)

This is a work worth reading . . . written in a way to change the world, at least a few worldviews.

Note: I did listen at 1.5 speed

What would have made Spanish for the Busy Teacher better?

It would have been better if a suggested learner level were in the description. If you are familiar with Spanish, then this book will move too slowly for you.

Would you be willing to try another book from David Rappoport? Why or why not?

I would try another book from this author because the overall organization of this book was good. However, the suggested level of the target learner should have been specified.
