Great, quick story!
Revisado: 08-28-20
I really can't hear Billy Crystal without picturing Mike Wazowski (Monsters Inc), but somehow I managed to push through this story. It wasn't difficult though. The story is good and engaging. I could close my eyes and imagine the scenes unfolding. The performances were spot on. The audience noise was only slightly distracting. I say it was definitely worth the less than two hours of time.

Historia
What’s in a label? Are we the product of our upbringing or do we have a natural propensity towards good or evil? The eternal question of nature vs nurture is at the centre of Dr Diane Buckley’s world. A talented freelance forensic psychologist who has never quite found the key to engaging with people on a casual level, she is drafted in to examine a grisly murder – a body found in a children’s playground.

Kept my attention, simple plot twists
Revisado: 03-01-19
Many characters and sometimes difficult to distinguish apart for me, but the book kept me interested throughout and had some simple plot twists that were unforeseeable, but not unfathomable.

Historia
Pathological mind games. Covert and overt put-downs. Triangulation. Gaslighting. Projection. These are the manipulative tactics survivors of malignant narcissists are unfortunately all too familiar with. As victims of silent crimes where the perpetrators are rarely held accountable, survivors of narcissistic abuse have lived in a war zone of epic proportions, enduring an abuse cycle of love-bombing and devaluation - psychological violence on steroids.

A lot of information
Revisado: 03-01-19
It was long and jam-packed with information. Not all the info will apply to everyone so the book is set up in a way that you can skip to what does apply, repeating vital information, key word descriptions, etc in each chapter. I listened to the whole book all the way through so the repetition was somewhat unnecessary. Overall, it was a great book and the narrator was easily understood.
