Historia
When cold-case Detective Lauren Riley returns to work months after being stabbed by a fellow police officer, it’s clear that her troubles are far from over. The body of a young woman has been found in the same woods as a murder victim from one of Lauren’s most horrifying cases. It doesn’t take long for Lauren to be back at square one confronting David Spencer, the quietly deranged man she could never prove was a killer.

Good crime novel
Revisado: 01-03-24
I like the way each book follows the story. Being from Buffalo, I love hearing the Buffalo references. Very good, suspenseful novel.

Historia
When Kate wins an item at her children’s elementary school auction - an all-inclusive trip to SeaView at Sandpiper Bay - she thinks it’s just what her family needs after a decade of career disappointments and a marriage on its last legs. She has no reason to believe that said trip is a Fyre Festival-level fraud and, in fact, the catalyst to her unraveling. But it is. Oh, but it is.

Not my type is story
Revisado: 12-11-23
I had hopes for a good story. Christina Applegate performed the story beautifully. The story itself had nothing redeeming about it. Not even in the end. It was really just whining. Someone that was just unhappy taking it out on everyone else.

Real
Revisado: 09-13-22
This book was great. Very funny and touching. Ms Lagti brought out her stories of real life that many of us go through. But sometimes we don’t have the courage to say out loud.
Thank you.

"I’m James Taylor and I’m a professional autobiographer", says the celebrated folk singer at the start of this tender audio memoir. Through decades of music by one of the best-selling musicians of all time, who created classics like "Fire and Rain" and "Carolina in My Mind", James Taylor has doled out his history in the poetry of his work. Taylor says his early life is, "the source of many of my songs", and Break Shot is a tour of his first 21 years in rich, new detail.

Love James Taylor
Revisado: 07-27-22
I have always loved James Taylor music. His songs have meant a lot to me. It was wonderful and a little heartbreaking to hear his stories and the relationships to his music. I hope he makes another Audible with the next 21 years. When my husband and myself and our young 4 year old daughter lived in New England, we took Gabby to her first concert at Tanglewood. It was the 4th of July. We celebrated with James Taylor that day. Remarkable and memorable. Thank you James.

Good read/ Mary Hiigi s Clark
Revisado: 06-30-22
I enjoy reading Mary Higgins Clark novels. I know what to expect. This story was familiar in Ms. Clark’s writings. It had tense moments, many characters that intertwined. And a somewhat surprise ending. Enjoyable read.

Gentle Read To Clear Your Mind
Revisado: 03-05-22
I read a political novel by a former President and a well known author. A collaboration so to speak. I didn’t find that novel to be very good. Although the end was almost where the story began. After reading that novel, I needed something easy and kind of predictable to clear my mind. “Dear Santa” was perfect. It has likable characters, romance and a little holiday magic. It was an easy listen and actually a short read. It is perfect
Read.
Very enjoyable. I definitely recommend.

Historia
Lina Meisel, a retired librarian in Florida, is reading the newspaper one morning when she freezes. Her eyes lock on a photograph of a book she hasn’t seen in 65 years - a book she recognizes as The Book of Lost Names. The accompanying article discusses the looting of libraries by the Nazis across Europe during World War II - an experience Lina remembers well - and the search to reunite people with the texts stolen from them so long ago. The book in the photograph is one of the most fascinating cases.

Great story
Revisado: 12-09-21
I read /listened to this for a book club. I never know in book club what to expect. We have read a lot about WW2 and the Nazis. I have never read about a forger during that time. This book had everything. The history of forgers during the war. It had the dynamics of a family broken apart by circumstances beyond their control. The story dives deep into relationships of people of different cultures, religion and economics together during horrific times. And it has romance. Needless to say…I enjoyed this book.

Not a bad read. A little slow and monotonous
Revisado: 11-05-21
I wanted to like this book more. It dragged a little with the elephant stories. But I guess that was the point of the book? The elephants.
I didn’t know how it would end. It was a surprise. So I am giving it the rating I did.

Revisado: 09-11-21
I was excited to read this book. I belong to a book club. So I thought it would be fun to read about a book club solving a murder. The story did not have the club really solving it together. Found it to be a little boring.
