The whole series is a joy to listen to. Cartmel really kept me guessing as to what was to come next. I also liked the nod to Aaronovich's River series.

The narrator has a weird, hesitant cadence. And there is MUSIC in the background all the way through that is annoying as heck.

As always, in a Penny novel, it is more than just a story. It explores emotions, motivations, and how love and understanding can sometimes lead to growth and resolution.
