This books was so incredibly intriguing. I think the ending could’ve used a bit more umph, but overall a great storyline. It was refreshing to have a book that included so many sapphic characters, but that felt celebrated and not exploited.

Truly Enjoyed!

Spoilers ahead! Really cute and feel-good tale to spend an evening enjoying. Superb writing with lots of clever humor. Loved learning about Hela as previously I knew nothing of her. My only complaint is that I want more! I would love to learn more about Hela and Bjorn’s life together. Highly recommend!

Decent start to a new series

First of all I want to praise the audio production. Very well done by all, and I particularly enjoyed Ms. Cobb as she is a favorite narrator of mine. Luna and Parker’s voices were well done and convincing.

Second, I want to state that I wasn’t quite sure what to expect with this book and I was previously unfamiliar with the author. I was pleasantly surprised. The first third of the book I do think could have used a bit more fleshing out, more time to learn the characters before they are thrust into a totally new setting. Major case of insta-love but I think after finishing that there is a probable reason for that. In any case, by the end I was sad to finish and not have more. I will definitely be looking forward to the next installment, and hoping for a longer story.

Fun, quick listen!

If you’re wanting a a quick listen to enjoy before bed or on a drive then give this a go! It was surprisingly funny and cute. I really enjoyed the couple and would definitely read a much longer story about them if available.

Perfect

This was the perfect taste of life in Velaris for Feyre, before the series starts it’s new direction (whatever that may be). Definitely a feel good read and made my little fan girl heart soar. As always, excellent performance by Amanda Lee Cobb.

Excellent book, but…

I'm huge fan of the series and have read it through several times. This is my first time listening to it. I have enjoyed the narrator's performance overall. But the Mel Brooks accent for Jewish characters is horribly done. Not all Jewish people sound like Mel Brooks, especially ones living in Prague that speak German.
