I had to keep fast forwarding the book multiple times as he complains about just about every aspect of motorcycle travel. Weather, politics, road conditions, temperature, traffic, gear failure and people who don’t agree with his politics. He should only ride in California and Colorado front range where the weather is perfect and the people bleed blue. He judges most people he meets on his travels based on politics, and belittles them for their opinions and how they chose to live their lives if they are conservative. All while riding across the rural Midwest, which is 90% conservative. If you want to listen to the complaints of a wanna be adventurer who stays in hotels and eats at restaurants (which he insults), then complains about not camping, this book is for you. Oh, forgot to mention the complaints about the quality of every cup of coffee across the US, while on a road trip…

Seems like the author is getting long winded on speeches and politics and running out of story ideas. This series started out great but is rapidly dying. The whole statewide battle lasted two chapters. Grant Matson took more chapters to shop for oatmeal at the beginning of the series. Sorry to say but I will not be buying the last book in the series. The first 4-5 were good, then just filler for the last 4.
