Everyone is good at something…

In this case, the author is very good at writing poorly. The writers, however are practiced and published. Too many inconsequential characters to keep track of, too many repeats of info already presented and it sounds as if the author is being paid by the word. Way too much "filler."
I didn't care at all for the narrator. In my opinion and for me to listen I need to have more and or different inflection in the spoken word to be able to tell the characters apart. This narrator didn't do that. I was often confused about which character was speaking (and often because there were so many different characters) that I kept having to backtrack to find out which character was on the dance floor.
Perhaps if the narrator was just a little more seasoned I would have paid more attention and not lost interest so quickly.

Nothing New

If you’ve read anything about Trump at all, this book will be nothing new. Quite repetitive and boring.

Lots of facts, figures and percentages. Not much we haven’t heard on the news.
The narrator was terrible. He spoke so quickly he was difficult to understand and he seemed to swallow the last word or two of a sentence.

Authors should never narrate!

This was a fascinating story made almost trite by the narration. Not only did the author sound as if she was reading in a closed bathroom the dry, no inflection reading was sleep inducing. I’ve listened to only one author who could write as well as read and Keith Olbermann is an exception rather than the rule.

Nothing new here; no new insight, understanding and nothing which couldn’t have been gleaned from a tally of newspaper articles. Save a credit and read archived copies of the NYT or WaPo. I’m not sure what I expected, only that I was disappointed.

Incomprehensible

Lots of alphabet soup, acronyms, bashing of both parties, trump, Clinton, Russia, Mueller, Comey, climate change, on and on and on. He seems to have the answer for everything.

Don’t bother.

I shouldn’t have bothered. Difficult to follow as an audio book with a British accented narrator and Saudi names. While I don’t doubt much of the Javanka involvement in governmental affairs, this was sorely lacking in attribution other than, a very senior official, a family friend, a respected reporter or someone I know told me. I returned the book for my credit.

Dry as chalk. As with most of the mid point of term one books about the trump presidency, self serving with a generous helping of “guess I’ll write a book while looking for a job.”

The bar has been raised. I hope this is a young author; I want to keep reading his novels till the day I can no longer read. Great character development, suspense and answers to all of the questions raised.
