How can a FMC be intelligent yet so naive and annoying at the same time. She is contracting and holds a grudge towards H when her betrayal was actually way worse. In hopes that she would develop better in the second book, I am only ten chapters in and am ready to throw the towel in.

Great storyline!! But that broken girl code was just an absolute dealbreaker. Aside of that, there were no qualities in that heroine that made her likable.

Narration saved this from becoming a dnf!

This is a dark, erotic psychothriller. And may I add, gory. I am glad I decided to read other reviews on kindle and not base my decision soley on the single review here which was a negative one. I am not opposed to that listeners opinion. As I stated in the title, this is truly not for everyone.


I do not like gory movies but was surprised that I even had a few smirking moments with this audiobook. The storyline could have been fleshed out better making this a 5 star rating for those who have a penchant for this genre.

Not giving spoilers: The story evolves around a woman with a traumatic childhood, who has developed psychotic urges, questionable family ties, and partners who fit right in.

Best Dual Narration!

Disappointed

The idea behind the story was a good one. Unfortunately, the execution was rather poor. Very shallow MC/FMC. Multiple repetitions. I believe the narrator gave her best but fell flat in giving life to so many characters. Absolutely regret spending a credit on this and will request a refund.

Overall a good story with a great narrating performance.

I can not count how many times I heard " the sugary scent of arousal"🙄 That is just one repetition that stood out the most.

seriously struggling

Ms Moning might have just created the most airheaded, childish, and vain female lead character I have ever come across. A naive and too weak female is bad enough but this one takes the cake. Someone said to hang in there and that things will look up after book two or three in reviews of book one. I am trying my best not to throw in the towel. And why oh why is Joyce Bean still narrating multiple characters?? Her male impersonations are absolute nightmares! The male voices are a mix of grinch and pervy grandfather.

great storyline, wrong narrator

Her voice is too mature for the young woman amd her male immitation sounds like a grinch instead of a handsome younger looking person. This dampened the listening experience immensely!!
