I love the books, I already listened to the first one, however I have to agree with other's that the narrator makes it hard to know who is talking. She seems capable to make different voices, as she does it sometimes during characters talking to each other. But all the characters have the same voice, when the they switch P.O.V. BUT even the guys sound the same. I think she could do better, or needs a different narrator. The story itself is awesome, I'm invested, I bought the first two bundles same day.

Can't get enough!

So the first books I listened to were a publishers pack, I was drawn in quickly! So far up to this book I've listened to them all and I have laughed, rolled my eyes and generally just had a wonderful time. each book gets better. There's action, humor, sadness, and one man's inability to stop saving earth and the rest of the universe! I went back and listened to ALL the books in order, and was even better second time around, especially when I could listen to them one after the other. My only tiny little thing that pokes at me is the reuse of names. Marshall pops up first as president, then later there is a man same last name, different period. Are they all related? Might never know. lots of John's too, almost feels like he couldn't find better names or thought to stick with those? I just don't know.But it does not detract from the story, just have to keep up. But there is only 1 John Ryan.....or is there? Listen bread the books. If you're like me and an avid reader, and just want a great escape, join in the fun of this series.

Next please!! I'm so glad I didn't pay attention to the neg reviews! But if I did half the books I've enjoyed I wouldn't have given them a chance. Definitely worth it.

Don't go buy the reviews!

I'm an avid reader, and now listener, and I love a good story. Like some movies that critics don't like, this book so far is very entertaining. I'm moving on to the next, as I very much enjoyed the first one. Listen to the story, if you don't like it, then stop. But as the complete series is included with membership it won't cost you anything to give it a try. If you just want a good fantasy book give it a shot. if you're a high brow and want perfect writing then you're in the wrong genres. As long as it entertains, its worth it!

So far the two books I have listened to were awesome, I wish they were longer, combine the two books into one. This story has so much potential I hope it grow larger, and I want more!

I didn't know if I would be able to get into this book but after a few chapters, I was hooked. Was hoping their wasn't a another book after, but there is and I HAVE to finish the story and know how it ends!

For those who said their was gratuitous sex, are obviously prudes. the scenes were well written, and not overly graphic. I can suggest some to read if you'd like to compare. Historical novels, romances, fantasy etc are going to have some sexual scenes and innuendos. Don't let these reviews keep u from listening. I remember reading the actual book when it first came out and I was much younger then I am now.
