Historia
For 25 years, middle-grade readers have been moved by this telling of Sadako Sasaki's spirited battle with leukemia. She was two-years-old when the atom bomb was dropped on Hiroshima at the end of World War II, and dizzy spells began when she was 12. She faced the disease with an irrepressible spirit and focused her energy (and that of everyone who knew her) on folding 1000 paper cranes, which Japanese legend held would prompt the gods to make her well again.

Childhood favorite!
Revisado: 08-06-18
This is one of my favorite books from childhood. It opened my eyes to the country of Japan and helped me get into cross-cultural studies as my college major. Highly recommended!

Historia
Managing your money is like going to the dentist or standing in line at the DMV. Nobody wants to do it, but at some point, it's inevitable: you need to clean your teeth, renew your license, and manage your finances like a grown-up. Whether you're struggling to pay off student loan debt, ready to stop living paycheck to paycheck, or have finally accepted that your Beanie Baby collection will never pay off, tackling your finances may seem intimidating. But it doesn't have to be. By approaching personal finance as a game, it can not only be easy to understand, but it can also be fun!

I enjoyed what this book had to say about money and obtaining it. I feel like this is a book that all high schoolers should read.

Evangelism and the Sovereignty of God

Historia
If God is in control of everything, does that mean the Christian can sit back and not bother to evangelize? Or does active evangelism simply imply that God is not sovereign at all? J.I. Packer shows in this classic study how false both these attitudes are. In a careful review of the biblical evidence, he shows how a right understanding of God's sovereignty is not so much a barrier to evangelism as an incentive and powerful support for it.

Most excellent!
Revisado: 01-12-15
I was very impressed with how plainly written, yet exceedingly rich this book was. I would highly recommend it to anybody confused about the necessity of evangelism while also maintaining that God is sovereign over His creation.
