Thought Provoking
Revisado: 11-20-24
Although this book started off a bit slow for me, I soon was enveloped in the lives of the characters. There were so many thoughts presented by the main character I wish I had written down as I heard them.

Pretty good story
Revisado: 11-03-24
Overall it was a pretty good story. There were times the inner dialogue seemed a bit repetitious, and I figured things out a little over halfway through.

Historia
Is it possible to write a sidesplitting novel about the breakup of the perfect marriage? If the writer is Nora Ephron, the answer is a resounding yes. For in this inspired confection of adultery, revenge, group therapy, and pot roast, the creator of Sleepless in Seattle reminds us that comedy depends on anguish as surely as a proper gravy depends on flour and butter.

Boring
Revisado: 10-21-24
I could not finish. The story went on and on like a friend that won’t accept that she is part of the problem in her life. The narrator (Meryl Streep) was the only reason I lasted as long as I did.

Historia
I NEVER wanted to be a daredevil. Even as the 49-year-old adult that I am, I still don’t want to ride a roller coaster or jump out of a perfectly good airplane. And I don’t understand people who want to do those things—even my lifelong best friend. And yet, here I am, holding a list of daredevil-ish things in my hand at my best friend’s will reading. I am SO going to get her back for this in the afterlife. So, my outgoing, adventurous best friend decided to leave me her estate but only if I completed her bucket list. HERS, not mine

Awkward narration

The story was good, but the narration sounded like it was computer generated. The reading felt awkward, as if it was a first time cold read.

Historia
My husband and I are fighting for our lives in hospital after a terrible car accident. But despite my pain, all I can think about is what our families will find behind our front door. The scarf that has been all over the news, belonging to a dead young woman with honey-coloured hair. I have to speak to the police before my husband can. I’m drifting in and out of consciousness, but when I hear my wife talking to the police, accusing me of the murder of an innocent woman, a cold fear grips me. I know I’ve got a temper.

Too much reading of emails
Revisado: 12-22-23
The story itself was interesting in a can’t help but look at the train wreck kind of way, but the author included a lot of the emails from the case. I know the emails were integral to the case, but there was way too many of them. Also, the reader’s voice was borderline monotone
