Historia
The dramatic autobiography of one of China's dedicated, courageous, and intensely persecuted house church leaders. This is the gripping story of how God took a young, half-starved boy from a poor village in Henan province and placed him on the front line for Jesus, in the face of impossible odds. Instead of focusing on the many miracles or experiences of suffering, however, Yun prefers to focus on the character and beauty of Jesus.

Jesus is truly the greatest treasure
Revisado: 06-30-20
I've enjoyed this book so very much. I'm in awe of how amazing The LORD God is. I praise God for Brother Yun and his family and the others that worked hard to bring this book to me. Jesus is truly invaluable and immutable.

Historia
“If anyone knows how to be a pastor in the contemporary context that person is Eugene Peterson. Eugene possesses the rare combination of a pastor’s heart and a pastor’s art. Take and read!” (Richard J. Foster, author of Celebration of Discipline) “I’ve been nagging Eugene Peterson for years to write a memoir. In our clamorous, celebrity-driven, entertainment culture, his life and words convey a quiet whisper of sanity, authenticity, and, yes, holiness.” (Philip Yancey, author of What Good is God)

Such humility and wisdom
Revisado: 03-30-19
I loved this book. Now I think I'm being formed to be a pastor someday and I've learned so much from this book. An unpretentious look at his calling to be a pastor, is so refreshing.
The narrator was really good although I did struggle to finish it but that's because it was a memoir and I struggle to stay focused.
Shalom.

Archie can finally heal from the near-fatal physical and emotional wounds she’s inflicted on him and start moving on with his life. To this end, Archie throws himself into the latest case to come across his desk: A cyclist has discovered a corpse in Mount Tabor Park on the eastern side of Portland. The man was gagged, skinned, and found hanging by his wrists from a tree....

Quite good! Really enjoyed it but
Revisado: 02-27-18
The description of some of the murder and torture got so gruesome and graphic, it made me feel sick and had to skip that bit. The detail of it all felt unnecessary.
