Good story

Good story, sweet HEA. My main gripe would be the female narrator’s voice, every new chapter she announced was like nails on a chalk board. Her voice is high pitched and whiny when she’s narrating the female character and at a normal pitch for the male character (much more tolerable).

Accent???

Okaaayyy… so the creepy accent by Mr. Gunn was laughable. I literally laughed when he did certain scenes that were supposed to be sexy. He then flipped between an over the top growling Latin accent for the male role to an Irish accent for the female role. It was so over the top I must’ve rolled my eyes a thousand times!!
Ms. Dornet was much more believable and sweet sounding. I could at least listen to her without wanting to laugh, roll my eyes, or just give up on the book altogether.
This series portrays subs as seemingly weak and helpless damsels in distress. Not my favorite portrayal.
