Historia
Medical student Amy Brenner is spending the night on a locked psychiatric ward. Amy has been dreading her evening working on Ward D, the hospital’s inpatient mental health unit. Historia
The stories about the fae court were true and I’m not sure if any of us will survive. Everything in the fae court wants me dead. The monsters who live here, the royal family, even the other tributes. I’m surrounded by enemies but I won’t forget the cause of all this suffering: The Fae King. If I’m going down, I’m going to take him with me.

After spending years training to defend my people from our enemies, I never expected that my enemy would be the one keeping me alive. Athos is the last human city. A treaty with the Fae keeps the fae, the vampires, and the wolf shifters at bay, while we fight against the dragons at our border. Being a human in this world is dangerous, and we all make sacrifices to survive.

Narration is sub par
Revisado: 08-15-24
The narration is the story was brutal at times and made it extremely hard to continue in audio format. No pause during chapters and the way it jumped in see unorganized.

Historia
Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she's struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance - and healing - in each other's arms.

Storyline was wonderful!
Revisado: 04-14-24
I enjoyed the reader in previous books. This reader made Asriel’s voice so monotoned and sounded like he talked with his nose plugged. Absolutely terrible and hard to listen to. I hope Sarah brings back the previous narrator in her next book.

Historia
He woke deep within the ground, and the first sensation he felt was hunger. An overwhelming hunger for blood that demanded satisfaction. But as he hunted the dark streets of Paris for prey, a voice called to him, soothing, calming, giving him the strength to control his craving. Francesca Del Ponce was a healer, a woman who radiated goodness as powerfully as the sun did light.

Another narration disappointment
Revisado: 04-29-21
I love the dark series, but every single narrator so far has been excruciating. I mean come on he can’t even pronounce one of the main characters. Is there no review of the voice work after it’s completed. Ugh distracting I had to work hard to get through this. For Gregory to have such a winey voice instead of a hard commanding ancient male carpathian just didn’t do him justice. Christine Feehan needs to seriously put her foot and insist on better narrators as this really impacts her.
