I love a good sci-fi story and this fit the bill. What if you could go back in time and re-live your life?

Historia
It’s 2006. Turns out if you’re an A student, you can get an A in anything–including men. Pretty soon she’s learning to "conjure" her desires with vision boards, flirtations, and even a daring jumbotron viewing party for her, ahem ... "divine center."

Fabulous story line
Revisado: 03-02-25
This is the best book I’ve read in a long time. I loved the growth of the character. I thought the storyline was going to be a repeat of one I've read before but it was a good twist. Loved seeing a female character with strength and smarts.

I wish I had. Wondering if it was Suzie on the train kept me listening. It was a slooow listen. I felt the book was about 50 chapters too long. The premise of the story is great, but the execution -not so much.

Finlay Donovan is killing it...except, she’s really not. The new book she promised her literary agent isn’t written, her ex-husband fired the nanny without telling her, and this morning she had to send her four-year-old to school with hair duct-taped to her head.

I can decide if I really like this book or hate it. I really liked the performance. I think that her voice perfectly fits what I imagine Autumn to be. Yes, it’s a little childish, but it’s YA so… I agree with another reviewer that the pacing is a little off.

Historia
Travis Wren has an unusual talent for locating missing people. Often hired by families as a last resort, he takes on the case of Maggie St. James—a well-known author of dark, macabre children’s books—and is soon led to a place many believed to be only a legend. Called Pastoral, this reclusive community was founded in the 1970s by like-minded people searching for a simpler way of life. By all accounts, the commune shouldn’t exist anymore and soon after Travis stumbles upon it…he disappears. Just like Maggie St. James.

The book really hooked me at first but fell flat somehow. The audio performance was really good but was also so slow and quiet that it made me sleepy.
