I want to live a stress-free life and have a decluttered home. I have watched documentaries on people living with so little and being so happy. I want that, but I had no idea how to start.

In this book, Kevin Brown shares his story of how he became a minimalist and explains how to get there. It is not an easy road, especially for a pack rat like myself. However, the book gives you easy steps to follow.

This book helped me strip down all the clutter in my life. I wouldn’t call myself a minimalist yet, but I have definitely minimized the amount of stuff that added stress to my life.

I recommend this book to anyone that is new to minimalism and wants to live more stress-free.

This book is a great guide to help alter your mindset and your subconscious mind to help internally prepare yourself for success. It opens your mind about changing habits.

It opened my mind about how my mindset and the habits I keep, affect my ability to succeed. This takes time and failure is essential. The book reminds us that the most successful people became successful after many failures. The difference is that they didn’t quit.

Chapter 8 brings everything back to affirmations. The things we tell ourselves can harm us or help us. This book helps you change your negative thoughts and create a positive thought loop so you are ready to accept success when it comes.

I highly recommend this book if you already understand the importance of affirmations.

The Dash Diet is a new concept for me. My primary care physician did recommend a lower sodium intake, so I thought I would give this a try.

This first thing I worried about BEFORE listening to the book was the lack of flavor in the food. However, AFTER testing a few of the recipes, I realized that the food actually tastes wonderful. The way that the recipes are put together really help maintain big flavor.

Do I miss salt? Of course, I do. But, the options provided in this book help me miss salt a little less. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for edible food that has low sodium.

Thanks!

It made understanding the diet easy. It was not too scientific and it gave pointers to help make changes easier. The food is straight forward and delicious.

In Chapter 5, the chicken and Grecian skillet was my favorite recipe. Like many of the recipes, it was easy to make and gave me a step by step instruction to cook the meal. The cooking time, the macro count, and the simplicity of the ingredients make every recipe easy to follow.

Sometimes the hardest part about sticking o a diet is figuring out what to eat. If it is too complicated I won’t do it. I don't have the time. This was easy. Thanks!

Positive Thinking is an all-in-one course in getting your mind right. I appreciate how it mentions other factors besides affirmations that contribute to negative thought. Your environment, what you put into your body, and what you put into your mind are all factors in feeling good.

I love the suggestion to create your own affirmation as opposed to simply repeating someone else’s. I noticed when I began personalizing my positive affirmation, I began to truly believe it.

The wisdom shared in this book helped me find mental clarity in a chaotic work environment. This alone was priceless. As the book says, it takes practice to get good. I hope for more emotional and mental clarity the more I use the techniques I learned in Positive Thinking.
