As a child of DV I was instantly drawn to the author and her message of "Claim your space! Stop being small! You have a voice!"
Some of the book's content speaks to me and I learned some good things about feminism and minority groups. My eyes were opened in some ways with rational thought.
However, for the bits of truth weaved into the book I kept getting this feeling of manipulation tactics. Which as a recovering child of DV we can spot very well. I feel conned, yet again, but this time by someone who is supposed to be on OUR side.
I feel like a gaslighted Johnny Depp....
