Great story
Revisado: 11-18-22
Saber hagen really brought the characters and their motivations to life. From this series and the books of swords, the continuity and story telling are superb. If you haven't tried any of his books, this 3 book omnibus is a great start

Historia
Some say that to change the world you must first burn it down. Now that belief will be tested in the crucible of revolution: The Breakers and Burners have seized the levers of power, the smoke of riots has replaced the smog of industry, and all must submit to the wisdom of crowds. With nothing left to lose, Citizen Brock is determined to become a new hero for the new age, while Citizeness Savine must turn her talents from profit to survival before she can claw her way to redemption.

Another great book by Joe Abercrombie.
Revisado: 12-14-21
First, the narration by Steven Pacey is impeccable. He really captures the characters and brings them to life, which is delightful since Mr Abercrombie spent so much skill to write that way. I loved the story and how it tied the last few novels together, but if you water looking for more Bloody Nine, you'll be sadly disappointed.
all in all a solid addition to the series and the world. read it!

But even at this westernmost edge of civilization, they can’t rest for long - and are soon back to what they do best: stealing from the undeserving rich and pocketing the proceeds for themselves. Historia
This is the way the world ends...for the last time. It starts with the great red rift across the heart of the world's sole continent, spewing ash that blots out the sun. It starts with death, with a murdered son and a missing daughter. It starts with betrayal, and long dormant wounds rising up to fester. This is the Stillness, a land long familiar with catastrophe, where the power of the Earth is wielded as a weapon. And where there is no mercy.

Pretty good start to a series
Revisado: 04-15-20
I was initially unimpressed but as the book played out I gradually felt my interest in the book build. The characters are the biggest detractors. I identify with absolutely none of them. Still, I'm thinking of trying the second book..

great book
Revisado: 09-10-19
Great book, another Neil Gaiman classic. I liked the narration performance, but at times (theatrically appropriate to the story) the volume gets low and I missed things and had to rewind. Just a note if you use transit a lot.
