Nigel rides above and beyond in this great sequel
Revisado: 09-18-24
This is the sequel to my favorite laugh-out-loud adventurous page-turner (aka "humorous YA fantasy,"):*** The Dragon Squisher.*** It's finally here and… yes, it’s everything I was waiting for. The new book, The Crudge Whacker is just as fun and funny as the first book, and I particularly liked how the emotional stakes were higher in this one. In addition to the above-mentioned laughter, I was on the edge of my seat (bed, really) during the final chapters to see how Nigel would get out of this latest scrape. The narration, with a light and enjoyable british accent, adds a lot as well.
I can’t wait for book three. PS I keep typing crudge wacker instead of crudge whacker; I guess there must be some crudge in the spelling side of my brain.

Historia
For all the monumental documentation that Watergate generated - uncountable volumes of committee records, court transcripts, and memoirs - it falls at last to a novelist to perform the work of inference (and invention) that allows us to solve some of the scandal’s greatest mysteries - who did erase those eighteen-and-a-half minutes of tape? - and to see this gaudy American catastrophe in its human entirety. In Watergate, Thomas Mallon conveys the drama and high comedy of the Nixon presidency through the urgent perspectives of seven characters we only thought we knew.

My favorite car read in a long time.
Revisado: 06-03-13
Just wonderful. Very historically accurate as far as I can tell (except of course for, well, you'll know what is questionable) and really brings the period and issues to life. absolute page turner so to speak. great narration too.

A fresh approach to some very important topics
Revisado: 05-11-13
I greatly enjoyed this fresh approach to the important topics of making an impression and building an emotional bridge to the customer. Rich Shapiro has written a sharp, well-organized, concise and pithy book on an important subject--bravo!
Scott Brick's performance is excellent as well, and the production values are lovely.
