Historia
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

I Had A Hard Time Pushing Pause
Revisado: 06-23-23
This story was so immersive and fluid that I struggled to tear myself away. I'm so pleased to have stumbled upon another author so capable of captivating me with epic storyline and subplots and rich character development.
I wait impatiently for the 2nd book and highly recommend this one.

This series was such an addicting listen.
The character development was an insane ride through an awesome plot! I felt Rowan's struggles and triumphs and was immersed in the story.
I declare, a must read

A different perspective never hurts
Revisado: 10-04-22
There's a lot of reviews about a pushy edge to the writers views on LGBTQ+ and disability language and perspective in this book. So much so that many reviews said it was preachy.
I'd like to offer an alternative view to this. I appreciated the different perspective and insight to daily struggles of a disabled individual, and though they were mentioned, as obviously the main character is in a wheel chair so that's her life, I don't think it was pushy or shoved down your throat all. As far as the LGBTQ+ being preachy, that's humerous to me, because there's not a whole lot surrounding that, aside from the fact that there are members of the community that are in the story...
I enjoyed the read, it was a cute story, if you're on the fence I'd say push play and see where that takes you.

So intense, on So many levels.
Pushes some comfort limits, but is such a well written and well rounded story that you feel compelled to know the resolution.
The suspense was real with this one.

Historia
Luna Allen has done some things she would rather no one ever know about. She also knows that, if she could go back in time, she wouldn’t change a single thing. With three sisters she loves, a job she (mostly) adores, and a family built up of friends she’s made over the years, Luna figures everything has worked out the way it was supposed to. But when one of those secrets involves the man who signs her paycheck, she can’t find it in her to regret it. Despite the fact that he’s not the friendliest man in the world. Or the most patient.

Mariana Zapata
Revisado: 02-15-20
I happened across 'Rhythm, Chord, and Malykhin' in audible escape, and it all went down hill from there.
I proceeded to download the other 7 books in audible escape by Mariana Zapata, and then purchased 2 that were not in escape.
I am in love with how Mariana weaves a beautiful story in every single one of her books.
I've always been very into books, and can the see it all in my head, but with Mariana's writing style and humor it makes those scenes so much more.
I wish there were more books for me to buy, and I'm truly bummed that I dont have anything by her to read any more.
The character development in every single story leaves your soul happy, because you feel like you really know the characters.
I will recommend her books to anyone and everyone.

I'm struggling to continue listening. The amount of loud swallowing and long pauses from the narrator are very difficult to ignore.
