Don't listen with headphones
Revisado: 11-16-20
The studio neglected a pop-mic or something, every S, TH, C, CH, and all those sounds are absolutely unbearable.

Historia
Just as Masters and Johnson were pioneers in the study of human sexuality, so Dr. John Gottman has revolutionized the study of marriage. As a professor of psychology at the University of Washington and the founder and director of the Seattle Marital and Family Institute, he has studied the habits of married couples in unprecedented detail over the course of many years. His findings, and his heavily attended workshops, have already turned around thousands of faltering marriages.

great but I have a gripe
Revisado: 10-07-20
this is excellent for working through marital problems and I 100% would recommend.
my problem is the decidedly MALE anti-masturbatory stance taken. in a book that seeks to define sex as any intimacy between two partners it cites a study that says men who masturbate in their marriage have less sex. this amounts to equivocation, a veiled slut shame, and a double standard. if sex is any intimacy then the author equivocates the definition of sex within the study vs without and makes his overall argument invalid. I recommend other books like the ethical slut for better ideas on how to preserve sexual autonomy in a relationship without archaic views.

This book is life changing
Revisado: 07-30-20
I felt so validated while reading this. I learned so much about self love, ethical relationships, and applied the philosophy to see how I have been coding shame and guilt into my life by not accepting myself as I am.
This book might ruin your marriage, but it's worth it.
