Historia
With a rare mix of honesty, humor, and compassion, comedian and movie star Russell Brand mines his own wild story and shares the advice and wisdom he has gained through his 14 years of recovery. Brand speaks to those suffering along the full spectrum of addiction - from drugs, alcohol, caffeine, and sugar addictions to addictions to work, stress, bad relationships, digital media, and fame. Brand understands that addiction can take many shapes and sizes and how the process of staying clean, sane, and unhooked is a daily activity.

NOT JUST FOR ADDICTS We are all on the spectrum!
Revisado: 06-23-21
I have been in recovery for over 9 years; Russell Brand nails it, we are all addicted to something it's just a matter of circumstances which way we veer and everyone could benefit listening to this book...YES even you CO-D's I say as a loving double winner. I struggle with nearly every addiction he has (no elicit drugs only because I'm a raving Control Freak) Yes he swears but not even close to what I expected and his description of his daughters birth brought me to tears. He breaks down the 12 steps in a way that is almost like listening to poetry. Whether you struggle with a higher power or have one in mind, he won't make you want to run away screaming, he makes you want to keep listening and learning. I will listen to it again and probably again as there is so much to ingest. I thought about writing a book on recovery not sure I need to he's really done it in a way that is uplifting... No I'm not an author, just occasionally believe I have something really important to share with others and then remember I'm not a writer
It's definitely worth the money...

Historia
In his wickedly brilliant first novel, Debut Dagger Award winner Alan Bradley introduces one of the most singular and engaging heroines in recent fiction: Eleven-year-old Flavia de Luce, an aspiring chemist with a passion for poison. It is the summer of 1950 - and a series of inexplicable events has struck Buckshaw, the decaying English mansion that Flavia’s family calls home. A dead bird is found on the doorstep, a postage stamp bizarrely pinned to its beak. Hours later, Flavia finds a man lying in the cucumber patch and watches him as he takes his dying breath.
