I've got nothing bad to say about this book and that's rare for me.

I struggle with being overly judgemental, but not here and not this time.

Highly recommended!

And Seth Andrews' narration may have been better than his story!

Summary: Earth good Man bad

A velvet-touch, preachy read about over-population, climate change, disappearing resources disguised as something about the PTE.

After some brief discussion on the PTE, the "agenda" quickly transitions to a soft assault on humanity.

Someone should give me a medal for finishing this drivel.

Although technically not a “crime,” it is certainly wrong and dishonest for any organized system of belief in the supernatural or divine to perpetuate, and perpetrate, homo sapiens as “created” in the so-called “image of a god.”


“Intelligent design” is an utter fraud and the more one knows about the human body the more one understands the lie of “intelligent design.”

The human body is a train wreck that barely works.


The real marvel is that the human body works at all and, somehow, does so in spite of, but not because of, its build quality.


I hate, and am angry, that I was lied to for my entire life by religion, in general, and Christianity, in particular!


In both religion and government, ignorance is key to ruling over others.

For 29 years I've been telling anyone who will listen, if "real" history were taught, AKA the truth, anti-government sentiment would be the norm.

To know what really happened, to know what's really going on, is to leave any thinking individual contemptuous of collectivism, the "State," so-called "government," and politicians.

Not much of a history book; not sure what the point was?

Perhaps nothing more than the opportunity to memorialize both Durant's on a digital recording?

As a supposed learned man, you'd think Will Durant would have cast aside religious belief, collectivism, and central planning.

I would not recommend.

Thumbs down for the "well-traveled" individualist

IMHO, needlessly technical, verbose, and academic; possibly antiquated for the modern lover of individual Liberty.

No doubt, 80 years ago this book was applicable for the time.

Today, however, all the historicity muddies the message.

Notwithstanding Hayek and this book being icons of individualism amongst Liberty lovers, you simply don't need such an effort to make the case: "Freedom good, government bad."

However, the fairly substantial preliminary content leading up to chapter one together with the fairly substantial appendix material after the book's conclusion was fascinating.

I'm embarrassed to say, between chapter one and the conclusion I was bored.

For me, Hayek was preaching to the choir of which I am a longstanding member.

"Central planning always leads to Tyranny."

Got it!

"Central planning bad - individual Liberty good"

Got it!

But...if you could get the Leftists to read it, I could see a benefit there...
