Historia
In 1943, as the war against Nazi Germany raged abroad, President Franklin Roosevelt had a critical goal: a face-to-face sit-down with his allies Joseph Stalin and Winston Churchill. This first-ever meeting of the Big Three in Tehran, Iran, would decide some of the most crucial strategic details of the war. Yet when the Nazis found out about the meeting, their own secret plan took shape—an assassination plot that would’ve changed history.

Well researched and easily accessible. These two always find fascinating moments in history that history classes usually miss.

Historia
The Death Star is destroyed. Darth Vader is dead. The Empire is desolate. But on the forest moon of Endor, among the chaos of a changing galaxy, time stands still for a princess and her scoundrel. After being frozen in carbonite, then risking everything for the Rebellion, Han is eager to stop living his life for other people. He and Leia have earned their future together, a thousand times over. And when he proposes to Leia, it’s the first time in a long time he’s had a good feeling about this. For Leia, a lifetime of fighting doesn’t seem truly over.

So glad Marc Thompson narrated! Story was mediocre. Passes the time, but far from great.

Historia
In her brand-new collection, Phoebe shares stories that will make you laugh, but also plenty that will hit you in the heart, inspire a little bit of rage, and maybe a lot of action. That means sharing her perspective on performative allyship, White guilt, and what happens when White people take up space in cultural movements; exploring what it’s like to be a woman who doesn’t want kids living in a society where motherhood is the crowning achievement of a straight, cis woman’s life; and more.

Is it stand up, or is it an audio book?
Revisado: 12-17-22
I like the message. But, the social media drops (all the hashtags, all the abbreviations) don’t translate well in audio. Also, is this a stand up routine, or is this an audiobook? The director should have picked a lane and stayed in it. Having said that, I loved the messages in each chapter/essay. Especially about WOC bosses, hair Identity, and choosing whether or not to have kids. Ms. Robinson has a great mind and voice. I just wish this production showed that.
