An interesting exploration of our times

This was quite an engaging listen though I am not completely sure if it proves there is much occultism in the Trump phenomena beyond the influence of positive thinking gurus. I am also not sure if any of us really understands Dugin’s Fourth Political Theory, including the author, or if there is any occultism connected to it other than very thin connections to the ideas of Julius Evola. But it certainly was a fun adventure in speculation and possibilities as well as a good companion to Lachman’s “Lost Knowledge of the Imagination.” The narrator kept the journey exciting.

It was first published in hardcover by Morris' Kelmscott Press in 1894.

Beautiful Symbolism

Cori Samuel has the perfect dreamlike quality for these type of stories. Many times I would have to rewind and re-listen as I would often fall asleep. William Morris is not like current fantasy but rather harkens back to a time when literal images carried much symbolic significance in an expression to the sublime. This was an enjoyable listen.

I enjoyed reading the books and even the comics from the 70’s. This one is an ok story but it gets weird when the narrator uses voices as if it takes place in the Wild West out of nowhere. I tried to use my imagination to put it back into the world of the story but it became too distracting.
