Drags a bit towards the end
Revisado: 02-09-24
*Spoilers* Good character development and world creation. The story is very interesting but I feel the plot needed a stronger setting - almost like an entire prequel book covering the origin of source crystals, the arrival of demons, the creation of the arch and the desolation of the waste. The prophet arch was a clever twist that ultimately fizzled out with not much of consequence happening. The story borderlines tragedy. The ending was obvious but dragged too long… we have done it… must get there… should I… so tired… I am not gonna make it…
Overall, I enjoyed this. It is best done in one shot as a few books don’t really end. The multi angle narration is fantastic and the readers truly elevated the characters.

Great Story - best narrator
Revisado: 10-12-22
This is a great and entertaining story. Many plot twists with a developing story across the series that is not overly complicated. Truly enjoy the elaborate visual descriptions as well as the nuances of the individual characters. Alex Knox brings the book to life. His delivery is as close to perfection as there is - the voices, the pitch, the accents- amazing.

Best part is the narrator - did not enjoy the story
Revisado: 04-18-22
This was a long awaited final installment of the series. The story attempts to bring together and provide closure to many of the arcs seen through the series. It is not very successful at doing that elegantly. Many of the characters that we have come to know become irrelevant on this story and the main character of the book spends most of the time trapped in an abyss going back and forth on her thoughts. It gets dark, slow and repetitive and the twist of the new bad guy is not well developed.
The ending of queen wasp was unfulfilling - she is hardly on the book. Perhaps it should have been two books, a stand alone covering the entire backstory of the scorching and how the mind hive came to be and then the final book of the arch covering how all dragons got together to defeat Wasp.
The best part of this one is the narrator - thanks for bringing voice to all this characters . Overall, this one does not feel like a TTS book.

This is a fantastic book - the narrator does not disappoint
Revisado: 02-24-20
I am very impressed both with how innovative the story is and how well rounded the writing is. The amount of detail and the quotes from the scythes diaries make it feel so very plausible
But for a great book to stand out as an audiobook it needs a great narrator to go along with it. This narrator is a fenomenal and believable voice actor.

Series very engaging - narrator awesome
Revisado: 09-21-17
The story is very is very entertaining. I do find however that it gets too complicated and the plot thins out as not all sub-stories flow together well. The narrator is awesome. The voices and pace all very good.

Wait a little - is a different narrator.
Revisado: 09-13-16
I started the second book right after the first not realizing it was a different narrator. It feels wrong as Jesse Bernstein was so good. I will wait a little and give it another shot.
