This was a different take on an issue that plagued the culture back then and in someways still remains the same today. This story allowed a woman who was underclass to become Duchess but also allowed her to be excepted as a member of the pier. She embodied progressive ideals that her Duke willingly accepted and wholeheartedly supported. This made their love transcend time which gave actual hope to women in this day and age. This was a refreshing twist 😁

This had a very good story and felt personal in so many ways.

This could have been a novel instead of a novella. You could have added more Christmas magic and holiday cheer to the storyline. That being said, I loved the concept and the pace of the story. It ended too soon. Looking forward to listening to your next book!

I love to read historical regency romance novels especially based on the Christmas season. I loved this book because in telling the story, it remained focused on the the spirit of Christmas and the reason for the season. Well done!
