Historia
The groundbreaking trans-genre work of Argentinian writer Jorge Luis Borges (1899-1986) has been insinuating itself into the structure, stance, and very breath of world literature for well over half a century. Multi-layered, self-referential, elusive, and allusive writing is now frequently labelled Borgesian.

Better Living Through Audio
Revisado: 11-23-21
This work attempts to unpack a lifetime dedicated to the exploration of writing and purpose. The audio helps greatly with the freedom to simply "scrub" back and forth when the density becomes illusive or problematic. This allowed me to listen completely as I drove about; and still I want to explore the book further, dig through notes, to travel a sort of astral landscape. Inspiration similar to a great musical album. This is the first audiobook that may live on my phone rent free.

Historia
The guru to the gurus at last shares his knowledge with the rest of us. Nobel laureate Daniel Kahneman's seminal studies in behavioral psychology, behavioral economics, and happiness studies have influenced numerous other authors, including Steven Pinker and Malcolm Gladwell. In Thinking, Fast and Slow, Kahneman at last offers his own, first book for the general public. It is a lucid and enlightening summary of his life's work. It will change the way you think about thinking. Two systems drive the way we think and make choices, Kahneman explains....

Excellent and Insightful yet "Textbookish"
Revisado: 02-20-21
I greatly enjoyed this book. The information contained within would be a valuable resource for anyone who engaged in thought it decision making. (everyone) My only issue is that it sounds somewhat like a university text. I listened while driving and was not able to take full advantage of the samples or visual aids that the author references.

Historia
Glen Runciter runs a lucrative business - deploying his teams of anti-psychics to corporate clients who want privacy and security from psychic spies. But when he and his top team are ambushed by a rival, he is gravely injured and placed in "half-life," a dreamlike state of suspended animation. Soon, though, the surviving members of the team begin experiencing some strange phenomena, such as Runciter's face appearing on coins and the world seeming to move backward in time.

Understandably Influencial

It is hard to work through any PKD without all of the other fiction ringing through. The strangest thing is how it resonates contemporary fiction more than that of the past.
