What a thrill ride of emotion! The level of detail and adventure that brought this story to life both made me want to stop from fear of nightmares but keep going because I NEEDED to know how it ended! Not for the faint of heart

Great performance and vivid story

Loved the interaction between the lead male and female. The way they talk and act is how I’d expect a masculine guy to with his motivations. Same with her. Her inner dialogue was delightful to listen to. And the happy ending was a huge plus.

👀 these stories are twisted!

If you’re a fan of “The twilight zone” or “squid game” or “ the outer limits” or “cabinet of curiosities” then you’ll love these short stories. So many different authors all with different ways of expressing the mood and peoples motivations.
I can only listen to 1 story a day they’re that good and leave that much an impression on me!

Vast story, rich characters

Highly recommend for your wife or your lady friends.
Story sometimes goes back between the male and female protagonist, even for the same scene which adds a layer of depth I really enjoyed.
I was worried that magic would be a crutch or something to pull out in case of emergency as a new power but this wasn’t the case. Every use of magic or skill was very organic and not forced in any way.
I also enjoyed the way the relationship between the couple grew! Thoroughly enjoyed the journey 🙂

This story has depth!

This is a great all around sci-fi adventure with action and drama, even character development of both male and female characters.
Pros:
-I was impressed with the breadth of the narrators character voices 🎤 ranging from male, female, hardened soldier and government official and sex worker replicant.
-Happily surprised by only mild vulgarity for a military book. The closest thing was “what the frack” used by multiple people.
-Story developed throughout the book as battles and negotiations occurred
Other:
-There is a detailed torture scene or 2 with the protagonist delighting in the physical/mental suffering so be aware.
-Tons of inner dialogue, explaining, exposition versus happening in the book.
Overall this is a solid 🌟🌟🌟🌟✨

Thrilling murder mystery

If you’re a woman looking for a solid murder mystery this is a solid pick. I was afraid that the story would end on a cliff hanger but it all summed up nicely by the end and leads right into the next book
Pros:
-Shocking twists
-Tons of inner dialogue and descriptions that my wife would appreciate.
-Female Narrator does a terrific job with the female voices. Even a grandma. The male voices are gruffer so the change is appreciated and distinguishable from the female characters. One notable instance is when the lady talks to the dog.
-Motivations and backstory of killer are believable.
-No sex
Cons:
- Vulgarity throughout so heads up
- Strong independent woman from a lineage of strong woman who also orders her own food, has a six pack, can outrun and can take down her male policeman coworker without a resistance. Maybe the physicality added to the believable climax but the feminist stuff didn’t jive when she was drooling over a good looking man.

Overall this is one I’d recommend to my wife and any woman interested in a good murder mystery.

Fascinating tale of a combat robot

The journey of this combat robot from uncaring or just being a robot doing his programming to one who cares about humanity that those who died around him haunt his thoughts is fascinating. I’d listen to it again!
