Historia
For twenty years Elizabeth Bennet had lived, quite contentedly, as the second daughter of a country squire. During her Easter visit to her newly married friend, Lizzy has the dubious pleasure of being introduced to Lady Catherine de Bourgh and her cosseted daughter. To Elizabeth’s surprise, the pair take a keen interest in a mere adopted daughter of the Bennet family, and when Mr. Darcy dutifully pays his annual visit to Rosings Park, her life takes a wholly unexpected turn.

The best
Revisado: 02-21-25
This is the best pride and prejudice variation that I have listened to. The characters are good. The plot is good. The pacing is good. I highly recommend it.

Informative and Amusing
Revisado: 09-08-24
Good story with amazing details about how life was lived in early Britain. The characters are fully formed and interesting to the point that I feel I know them. I have read a lot of history of this period, but these novels tell me more about what life was really like then then all the historians have been laid out.

Historia
What's Georgiana Darcy's story? Jane Austen tells us so little in Pride and Prejudice that we're left to wonder. How did the early loss of her parents shape Miss Darcy's character? And what about her near-disastrous affair with Mr. Wickham? Is that the true source of her shyness? She adores her brother and his new wife, Elizabeth, but will their guiding influence be enough to steer Georgiana clear of new trouble as she comes of age and falls in love again?

Soppy romance
Revisado: 04-21-24
I liked visiting the old pride and prejudice characters. However, the writing was very wordy and overly romantic, and the plot was thin, predictable and tedious. I did like seeing the end of Wickham though.

There's no suspense here, but the characters are so sleezy, sociopathic, and twisted that the story becomes a good laugh.

It’s slow as life in small town Georgia, and almost as boring. But you never have to look up a word if you’ve completed middle school. Worst of all, people are constantly praying. I didn’t mind at first, but it got to be excessive. That’s when I looked up the reviews and discovered this was “Christian literature.” If that’s what you like, go for it.
