Historia
Meet Ove. He’s a curmudgeon—the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness. So when one November morning a chatty young couple with two chatty young daughters move in next door and accidentally flatten Ove’s mailbox, it is the lead-in to a comical and heartwarming tale of unkempt cats, unexpected friendship, and the ancient art of backing up a U-Haul.

Historia
Rebecka Martinsson is heading home to Kiruna, the town she'd left in disgrace years before. A Stockholm attorney, Rebecka has a good reason to return: her friend, Sanna, whose brother has been horrifically murdered in the revivalist church his charisma helped create. Beautiful and fragile, Sanna needs someone like Rebecka to remove the shadow of guilt that is engulfing her, to forestall an ambitious prosecutor and a dogged policewoman.

Great book
Revisado: 08-10-19
It is a gritty, unabashed look at a brave woman who has much anger stored up. She uses her anger to go back home to the place she had been ostracized. The author gets our attention and weaves a tale that keeps you interested and wanting more. A great read.

Interesting
Revisado: 11-26-17
I have read many of Dean Koontz’s books and enjoyed them all. Odd Thomas is no exception. The descriptions of life in the desert are realistic and captivating. The storyline is top notch and keeps you guessing until the very end.

Historia
The decade of the 1790s has been called the age of passion. Fervor ran high as rival factions battled over the course of the new republic - each side convinced that the others' goals would betray the legacy of the Revolution so recently fought and so dearly won. All understood as well that what was at stake was not a moment's political advantage, but the future course of the American experiment in democracy. In this epochal debate, no two figures loomed larger than Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton.

Fair and balanced
Revisado: 06-19-16
As I read this book my thought was that I truly believe the author was not sugar coating anything on either Jefferson or Hamilton, but instead trying his best to present the truth. It gives great insight into the successes and failures of both great men and helps me understand how the U.S. began and its present.

Great Read
Revisado: 06-11-16
Actually, my mother and I listened to it on Audible. It was so real, we were engrossed and could not stop until finished. The characters had great depth and were believable. This tragic family situation had damaged all of them in different ways. The descriptions were vivid and we felt we were there with them. Great work.
