Historia
The Bobiverse is a different place in the aftermath of the Starfleet War, and the days of the Bobs gathering in one big happy moot are far behind. There’s anti-Bob sentiment on multiple planets, the Skippies playing with an AI time bomb, and multiple Bobs just wanting to get away from it all. But it all pales compared to what Icarus and Daedalus discover on their 26,000-year journey to the center of the galaxy.

Historia
At the end of the Second World War, Cyril Conroy combines luck and a single canny investment to begin an enormous real estate empire, propelling his family from poverty to enormous wealth. His first order of business is to buy the Dutch House, a lavish estate in the suburbs outside of Philadelphia. Meant as a surprise for his wife, the house sets in motion the undoing of everyone he loves. The story is told by Cyril’s son Danny, as he and his older sister, the brilliantly acerbic and self-assured Maeve, are exiled from the house where they grew up by their stepmother.

I usually don’t read books like this. Actually, I am a science-fiction fan, but this was a great change. The story was good. The narrator was fantastic and I would recommend it highly.

The best SF book I have read
Revisado: 12-07-21
I originally read this book around 15 years ago and enjoyed it immensely. My second reading of it has made me enjoy it even more the characters are good and the storyline is very unusual and the ending leaves you wondering a little bit to me that’s a perfect book

Hope for the future
Revisado: 03-01-04
There is potential for this author, but in my mind he is borrowing concepts and even characters from elsewhere.....Elves, Dwarfs, Eregon...."Lord of the Rings: And the dragon reminds me of Anne McCaffrey's dragons. The author needs to polish his style a bit, and get a little more original. The talent is there it just has to be developed. I may not be being totally fair as just before listening to this book I had read Robert Jordon's Wheel of Time series.
