Historia
1941. Audrey Coltrane has always wanted to fly. It's why she implored her father to teach her at the little airfield back home in Texas. It’s why she signed up to train military pilots in Hawaii when the war in Europe began. And it’s why she insists she is not interested in any dream-derailing romantic involvements, even with the disarming Lieutenant James Hart, who fast becomes a friend as treasured as the women with whom she flies. Then one fateful day, she gets caught in the air over Pearl Harbor just as the bombs begin to fall, and suddenly, nowhere feels safe.

Enjoyed Every Minute of the Story.
Revisado: 08-27-21
This story kept me interested the entire time. I learned about these women’s incredible passion for flying and how they accomplished being able to by aiding our military efforts during WWII. Hope the author continues to write more fiction. Well done!

Tricky to Follow
Revisado: 08-18-20
Personally, I loved this story. Initially for me, it was a little hard to follow but as I got into the chapters and characters I was hooked. So much so I listened to it entirely again to be sure I followed all the characters' connection to Birchwood Manor and each other. I will select another of Kate's book.

I had No Idea
Revisado: 02-19-20
Most of my pleasure reading is via Audible while driving or working in the yard. This story captured my interest as I had no idea such horrible acts of "stealing" less privileged children for greedy personal wealth and status gain existed. The narrators were excellent in capturing the personalities of each of the characters they represented. Although at times the descriptive detail became a bit too much it painted a clear picture of where the action took place or how a character felt and acted during it.
I recommend this story. I became personally involved in each character to the point of tears and laughter. Loved it and hated to see it end.

In book one of the Shooting Stars series, Catch a Falling Star, best-selling author Leah Downing introduces Lauren St. Germain, a federal investigator accused of assisting the Taliban in a homeland terrorist attack targeting her husband. Enjoyed Lauren's Perseverance
Revisado: 10-28-19
I have wanted to read this series and Audible allowed me to make the time to listen to it while traveling. I felt Lauren tried to rebuild her life after wrongly accused of being involved in a military explosion. I felt she was overwhelmed after loosing her security clearance and job. Enjoyed being involved in her bad and good decisions and the fling and eventual relationship with the unexpected celebrity. Look forward to the others being released on Audible.
