Historia
For anyone interested in foreign affairs, this book will catalyze debate, and not only for Mr. Huntington's concluding scenario for World War III. He sees how this could happen if the U.S. mishandles an increasingly xenophobic and truculent China. Chinese assertiveness, Huntington argues, rises out of its felt grievances against a relatively weakening West. After China, the gravest challenge to the West is resurgent Islamic identity.

The Most Important Book You'll Read This Year

Not everything aged well
Revisado: 02-05-23
Though an interesting and informative read, many of its primary conclusions are outdated because this book didn't take into account globalization and the rise of the Internet. Still, somethings are valuable and help to understand some aspects of our modern world. However, the author's bias can sometimes be a little bit too much.

Historia
A born naturalist and a fearless traveler, Vladimir Dinets wrote travel guides, conducted field research, and lived a couple of lives before he was accepted into the PhD program in zoology at the University of Miami. He thought crocodiles were a dead-end research topic - survivors from the age of the dinosaurs but not much else - until he witnessed groups of up to seventy alligators performing mating choruses that included infrasound vibrations - a form of communication extremely rare in nature.

Historia
First published in 1997,
Little X chronicles the multigenerational experience of Tate's family, who broke from the traditional Black church in the 1950s to join the radical Nation of Islam, then struggled to remain intact through disillusionment, shifting loyalties, and forays into Orthodox Islam.
Little X offers a rare glimpse into the everyday experience of the Nation of Islam and into a little-understood part of America's history and heritage.

This was an excellent book. The way in which the topic was handled was absolutely fantastic, the narration by Raad Rawi is fantastically entertaining, they manage to make an otherwise complicated topic into an easy read, and overall the quality of the production value is really high.

Historia
Though it is the fastest growing religion in the world, Islam remains shrouded by ignorance and fear. What is the essence of this ancient faith? Is it a religion of peace or war? How does Allah differ from the God of Jews and Christians? Can an Islamic state be founded on democratic values such as pluralism and human rights? A writer and scholar of comparative religions, Reza Aslan has earned international acclaim for the passion and clarity he has brought to these questions.

Quite outdated but still informative.
Revisado: 06-21-21
The book is outdated in many respects and ignores many realities of contemporary Islam. Sometimes the obviously partisan view makes some argumenta sound too preachy instead of being convincing.
