Historia
When Mark Meadows took control of the Trump White House in March of 2020, the nation was in turmoil. A deadly coronavirus had arrived from Wuhan, China, and brought the rhythm of daily life under President Trump - defined by a soaring stock market, sinking unemployment rates, and a renewed sense of pride in being an American - to a grinding halt. In this frank, candid account of his 10 months in the White House, Mark Meadows tells the harrowing story of how he and a close team of loyal advisors helped President Trump bring the country back from the brink of catastrophe.

The Best Thing about this Book was the Narrator

Unbelievably banal story written by a chief of staff. Sad.
Revisado: 11-29-23
I can only ask the question was Mark Meadows serious when he was writing this story. It reads like an eight grade wrote it: “wondered if Biden can find his own house”. He brought Biden numerous times into this story for no apparent reason. Often times he would talk about Biden as if to prove a point. He should have been writing about his duties as a chief of staff to the President instead he was spreading gossip. Disappointingly bad to read about the people in whose hands our government relied on.

Smart, painful, triumphant.

Most of all I appreciated listening to his voice in reading his story. It brought to life his personality, his brilliance as an actor, writer and the gentle soul he was throughout his life. Loved and enjoyed it immensely.

Too much empathy

Too much empathy
Revisado: 08-28-23
The story was told in a very lovely and emotional way. The responses were way to empathetic, very slow paced and sometimes disingenuous. But overall a heartbreaking and yet inspiring story. I am not gay but I relate to her fear to disclose the truth about herself to her biological father for fear that she may lose him again. Losing him anyway was heartbreaking. Life at times is beyond cruel. Overcoming or transcending events is a passage of a worthy life.
