Historia
Detective John Stone is taking early retirement. He has informed the chief, Inspector John Newman; and his partner and wife, Carmen Dehan, is retiring with him. She is pregnant and both Stone and Dehan want a safe, secure environment for their future child. Their sights are set on New England, where Stone will write his memoirs. So the last thing either of them expects is a curtain call from one of Stone’s old flames. Yet that is exactly what happens when actress Jane Morley shows up and asks Stone to investigate a very particular cold case.

Story started off well and went downhill from there. Ending as well as most of the story was terrible. Was of time.

Very silly story line
Revisado: 12-23-24
Each of the characters were much too silly. The story line was silly. Can’t understand why the author wrote this and it was published!

Loved this series and their antics. Dime insight on how greed and money can deem someone’s faith if not rooted. Happy husbands remained faithful. Hoping for another book in the series.

Enjoyable and Wholesome Read

Loved the storyline and it’s revelations. Enjoyed an entertaining read without a lot of sex and violence. How refreshing.
Although the reader did not have a range of voices, it was easy to listen to and you knew the characters.

It Takes A Vill, And What A Volly!
Revisado: 05-23-23
I’ve read every book in the series and can’t wait for the next installment to come out later this year. Especially as a former foster youth, I love this book and wish I could live there! I love how the village not only raises the children but also continues raising, nurturing, and nourishing the adults in the series. I love how humor, history, romance, teenage drama, and all the rest find it so into these books, and I highly recommend them! You could start here, but I would recommend going back to book one and reading through the series.
I don’t love the reader, but I was able to read this issue for love of the series. I think books two and three, had a different reader who I preferred. Miss Rodman does not have a wide enough range in variety of voices. Still, she does a good job, and the series is well worth looking past this challenge.
