Poor execution
Revisado: 03-19-23
I enjoyed the voice actors and sound effects but overall it was executed poorly and very inconsistent.

Historia
Since 1933, when a completely drugged and trial-conditioned human wreck confessed to having started the Reichstag fire in Berlin, Dr. Joost A. M. Meerloo has studied the methods by which systematic mental pressure brings people to abject submission, and by which totalitarians imprint their subjective "truth" onto their victims' minds. And in The Rape of the Mind, he goes far beyond the direct military implications of mental torture to describing how our own culture unobtrusively shows symptoms of pressurizing people's minds.

Incredibly Relevant
Revisado: 09-15-22
It is amazing this book is so on point some 60 plus years after first being released. The chapter on technology may be more relevant than when it was written due to the influence of social media. Provides fascinating insight to how our society has reached the current state. There are parallels to both the so called left and the right here. Well worth listening to.

On the Social Contract's appeal and influence has been wide-ranging and continuous. It has been called an encomium to democracy and, at the same time, a blueprint for totalitarianism. Individualists, collectivists, anarchists, and socialists have all taken courage from Rousseau's controversial masterpiece.

Worthwhile read
Revisado: 08-12-22
More of an effort should be made in the education system to expose this type of thinking to young students. This is among many books I wish I had been made to read in high school.

Here are the thrills, grandeur, and unabashed fun of the Greek myths, stylishly retold by Stephen Fry. The legendary writer, actor, and comedian breathes life into ancient tales, from Pandora's box to Prometheus's fire, and transforms the adventures of Zeus and the Olympians into emotionally resonant and deeply funny stories, without losing any of their original wonder. Learned notes from the author offer rich cultural context. This volume is a doorway into a captivating world.

Can’t wait to read the others
Revisado: 07-29-22
Stephen Fry is outstanding. He does a great job presenting the mythology in an entertaining way. I’m glad he read this himself it would’ve been disappointing if someone else had read his work. Very much looking forward to the other books in this series.

Outstanding book. A good look at the philosophies that led to the founding of America and some important historical context. Our society needs more of this type of thinking.
