Leaders are measured by their team’s performance as well as the performance of their individual members. The team’s morale, discipline, efficiency, and performance are a reflection of their leader’s influence and effectiveness. If you suck, they will suck. Worse yet, if they perform and behave nothing like you, they’re not yours and someone else is influencing them.

Immediately useful!
Revisado: 03-03-25
This book immediately provided value to myself and fellow coworkers. I was able to personally use it as a comparison of my current performance as a leader, vs the various standards defined in this book and adjust accordingly. I was also able to use it as a guide for someone just starting on their leadership journey and quickly saw the impact it had on their performance and approach.
Life has a lot to do with having the proper perspective and this provides just that. Whether you are just starting out in leadership or have been at it for the last 20 years, this book provides value. You will learn the proper perspective and will be able to realign towards it if you have drifted off.
I’ve even purchased a physical copy to have at my desk for quick reference and lesson building for teaching other leaders.
Chefs kiss on this one, polished and impactful!

Historia
Man’s Search for Meaning is the chilling yet inspirational story of Viktor Frankl’s struggle to hold on to hope during the unspeakable horrors of his years as a prisoner in Nazi concentration camps. Between 1942 and 1945 Frankl labored in four different camps, including Auschwitz, while his parents, brother, and pregnant wife perished. Based on his own experience and the experiences of those he treated in his practice, Frankl argues that we cannot avoid suffering, but we can choose how to cope with it, find meaning in it, and move forward with renewed purpose.

Are you tired of feeling f*cked up? If you are, Gary John Bishop has the answer. In this straightforward handbook, he gives you the tools and advice you need to demolish the slag weighing you down and become the truly unf--ked version of yourself. "Wake up to the miracle you are," he directs. "Here's what you've forgotten: You're a f--king miracle of being." It isn't other people that are standing in your way; it isn't even your circumstances that are blocking your ability to thrive. It's yourself and the negative self-talk you keep telling yourself.

Listened to this book several times over the years and it’s a great recalibration. I share this with anyone who will listen when we talk about favorite books.
