Amazing storyline, but......

Amazing storyline, but SERIOUSLY 12 HOURS!!!!! I still have 2 hours left & she is still I want them, I don't want them, I can have them, I can't have them. This could've been a 6hr book if she cut out half the bs. I get people want a long listen, but it has to have development if it's gonna be that long. Again I really liked the story & could've gone far, but her indecision in her ruined it for me.

Another good one, but do you get to choose who voices the books? I have seen other reviews that say you don't. Female awesome, loved the voice & the emotion.
***SPOILER***
The Male, horrible. He had it in the beginning, but then got very robotic. I can honestly say that is the first time I have not cried when an animal dies. His daughter had ZERO emotion when she called him. I would have then & now been inconsolable. If you can't choose the voice I'm sorry & that sucks. If you can, please don't use him again.

I made it to middle of chapter 4 (after skipping a lot of that) and just couldn't do it. I listened to The Baby Maker & had a hard time with that too & wanted to give this author 1 more chance, but this was way worse. Story info sounded amazing & have read many authors with same premise, but beginning didn't hold my intrest and his very first comment was just about enough for me. I didn't even make it to her moving in.

I literally cried the entire book. You can't do this to a perimenapausal woman...lol Whether happy or sad I cried. It was an amazing story. Every girl dreams of a man like Dixie & for that instant that you just know he is your one. Wish it were a little longer. More memories. Though on that note I don't think I could've cried anymore...lol The second book just as good & gave me the happy feels I needed after the heavy from the first. Awesome as always...

You could've added this to the end of the first book. I skipped over alot of it til the last couple chapters when they got eachother back. The story was awesome, but could've been told in one book & not two. Also still really upset you killed Bull after all he had been through to get his HEA.

The whining & indecisive back & forth for 8 hours of this chick. I can understand the first couple of chapters, but THE ENTIRE BOOK? I still have 2 hours to go & it's taking everything in me to finish it. Asher has the patience of a Saint. Loved the first 3 books, but this one is not for me.

I have all her books & all audible ones too, but this was my least favorite so far. I must have been listening to a different book than the others. I had to back up at some points cuz I got lost. IDK but to me was rushed just to get it out. Seems to be doing that lately. Boomtown was almost an 8hr audio & now down to a little over 5hrs. I want more story please. Will continue to buy cuz I love your work, but to me just seems you are rushing just to get them out.

I have been a diehard fan since day 1 & will continue to read & listen, but they just aren't enough. Boomtown was almost 8hrs & book & this is just over 5. The storyline was really good just seemed was too rushed. Maybe space books out longer & add a little more to each story. Just my opinion, but like I said will continue to read & listen to just a little disappointed.

loved the story, not the narrators

I am an avid Lani Lynn Vale reader & listener, but the two she had narrating this book almost bored me to death. There was just no emotion to their voices. I will continue the rest of the series because I love the author, but not happy if these two are going to be doing the rest of series. The two she had doing The Dixie Wardens series were the best two yet.
