Not an easy book to listen to!

This book is not an easy listening feel good and happily ever after book. I love when an author can grip you into the story within the first few pages and never lets you go until the very end. This is that type of book. I do have to say that the summary doesn't do it any justice, but it does tease you into thinking "mm this book might be interesting".

I agree with some of the reviewers that the book can be disturbing at times in the story, but the person needs to listen all the way through to the end to be able to understand the bad parts along with the good parts. I am the type of book reader(in this instance listener) that loves a tale that holds "nothing" back! That being said, I did have to step away from this a couple of times. Mrs. Sexton does an excellent job in describing the raw emotions of how some people can be very cruel to the ones we love or how we cherish the ones we love. I will not spell everything out because I don't like spoilers!

The narrator John Solo was awesome! I have listened to him perform before in another one of Mrs. Sexton's book so I knew that it could be a great performance, but he did even better than I would have thought! Each character was given their own special performance. I was able to distinguish between each of the voices. I love that!
If you are looking for something to just pass the time, I would not recommend this book. If you are looking for something to grip your heart and soul, I would say this the book for you. You will not regret it.

Wonderful,but....

I really loved this story line. It picked right up from Book 1. I have to agree with some other reviews, it was a little hard to get used to a different narrator. I really like the one for the Book 1. I can't wait for Book 3!!! I have listened to other books from this author and they are amazing stories. I would recommend this book to everyone who wants to listen to a great romance, with a bit of the paranormal, and throw in some sci to the mix.

WOW!!!!

I really liked this book. Yes it is short, but I loved the full cast. These types of performances really make a book go from good to GREAT! This is the first book I have listened to from this author. I have to admit I thought really hard before I decided to get this book. The cover looks a little cheesy, but I did read all of the reviews and thought why not give it a shot.
I am so glad I did! The music was good, the narrators were great on timing for the different lines, voices, and everything. This reminds me of the Graphic Audio CD books I always got at the library. I am already looking for more audiobooks from this author and cast.

Wow what an ending!!!

I just finished this book and I am not very sure if I liked the book or not. I was glad to see that Alias was able to find someone in the end, but I was not very happy with how it was written. I was under the impression that Jordan actually brought Nadia to Bric/Alias as a "get better because you have lost everything" gift. I wasn't too sure on this theme. I do agree that Nadia and Bric/Alias fought constantly. Sometimes it was funny and other times it was rather annoying. I might be seeing something in the story that shouldn't be there as well. I thought the sex scenes were fantastic and extremely hot. A little of BDSM doesn't bother me one bit! I really was disappointed by the new female narrator. I thought she was a little bit too snippy when it came to Nadia's disagreements with Bric/Alias and not believable when it came to Nadia actually submitting to what Bric/Alias and Jordan wanted her to do. I couldn't let myself really get into her reading the story. I gave the review a 5 star rating for performance because of Sebastian. He has become one of my favorite narrators.

Wonderful and hot!

I was really impressed with this book. The narrators were wonderful again. I think I like Sebastian the most. The story really had me holding my breath as I listened to each twist and turn to come to the surface. I have to agree that every once in while I would want to shake Quin over his whining but as the story came to a close I could understand his mind set better and better. We actually got to see that Bric is a "real" person with "real" emotions not some stuck up snob! I have already downloaded the 3rd book in the series. I am hoping it is a good as the first two.

Wonderful, beautiful, entertaining

I really liked this book. The author's take of each POV is amazing. I did read some of the reviews before purchasing this book. The publisher's summary didn't really catch my interest. I am so glad I did. I have to agree I really would have liked to have seen a poly ending instead of a MF ending, but we can't have everything. I also really loved how the narrators worked on this. Their voices were awesome. I have not listened to any of them before, but WOW I will make sure to do so from now on. I am getting the second book right now!!! I have to say I have found a new author to be on look out for.
