I liked that she did it in her own voice. It made the story more real.

I liked that the narrative flowed in a straight line and didn’t jump around. It was a heartfelt love story of love for mother, wife & native land.

The author rambles and makes the main character into a brainless ninny. Most of the book consists of irrelevant ramblings that makes the reader constantly wonder if there will ever be a point to the story. The only likable characters are the animals and the man next door, who only has a brief appearance. This book should have been a two page magazine story.

I disliked the shallowness of Becky. This is a grown woman, not a silly early teenager, so why write her as such a fool?
The first books were funny and lighthearted, but one would have expected the character to mature with age and life experience. She can still be whimsical and funny, but totally stupid, immature and financially irresponsible is not funny and is a horrible role model for young ladies.

What did you love best about Disposition of Remains?

Laura's use of language Or "Turn of Phrase" captivated me from the very first line.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Disposition of Remains?

The unexpected twists, and the fact that the main character was not another helpless female.

What about Laura T. Emery’s performance did you like?

Her expressions and the way she said them, were just as I would say them in my real life.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me laugh. There were sad moments, but the character chose to look on the funny side of life, just as I do. It made the book believable for me, a nurse and a cancer survivor.

Any additional comments?

I can't wait for her to write the next book.
