Robert Pendleton is a chemical genius with a fertilizer worth a fortune to whoever controls the formula. Not surprisingly, the Bank, his notoriously exclusive backer, wants to keep an eye on its investment. But so does the CIA. And the Chinese government. And a few shadier organizations. So when Pendleton disappears from a conference in San Francisco, along with all of his research, Neal Carey enters the picture.

Revisado: 04-12-15
Where does The Trail to Buddha’s Mirror rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
TOP DRAWER,:
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
NEVER A DULL MOMENT
What does Joe Barrett bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Joe, easily gives each character a distinctly unique voice; his accents and "female" voices ... beautifully and gives each character a unique, easily identifiable voice.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
trail to the orient ?
Any additional comments?
so refreshing and a real joy to listen to, ..........especially during otherwise stressful highway driving. ... I would like to have given this 5 1/2 star

But when he takes revenge upon a former employer who betrayed him, he exposes himself to something he’s never had to face before. A killer who is just like him. Code-named Dead Eye, Russell Whitlock is a graduate of the same ultra-secret Autonomous Asset Program that trained and once controlled Gentry.

Historia
Seth Hubbard is a wealthy man dying of lung cancer. He trusts no one. Before he hangs himself from a sycamore tree, Hubbard leaves a new, handwritten, will. It is an act that drags his adult children, his Black maid, and Jake into a conflict as riveting and dramatic as the murder trial that made Brigance one of Ford County's most notorious citizens, just three years earlier. The second will raises far more questions than it answers. Why would Hubbard leave nearly all of his fortune to his maid? Had chemotherapy and painkillers affected his ability to think clearly?

Great Story
Revisado: 11-12-13
John Grisham a gripping storey teller has proven again that the court room is his forte , you don't want to pass on this book. If you have not read previous Grisham novels you should , The Firm, The Pelican Brief, A Time to Kill (1989) with trial lawyer Jake Brigance.
The return of Jake Brigance fighting against the hostility, hatred , discrimination , violence and ignorance of the south was very emotional and truthfully , the way it was.
You are totally involved from beginning to end and hard to stop listening with great characters and the narration by Michael Beck is believable.
There should be a special five + or six star .
