I honestly can’t stand how ungrateful his friends are, especially his original friends. Tam acting like him killing someone who’s about to kill him , is different than Rez doing it. Honestly terrible

Chapter 35

Revisado: 01-24-24

So something happens in chapter 35 that around 5 minutes in, if that long could be less. Anyway it causes the main character to get a physical reaction. Which unironically had given me the same reaction.

What occurs removed a lot of my interest from the story just because of how it is always a terrible crutch in my humble opinion. I’m not done yet so I will update.

As far as the trilogy of books goes is they follow the same silly BV Larson formula of story telling. This guy is basically James McGill 2.0 minus the clone tech but plus a mutant arm.

I most likely will not continue this series past this book.

Awful simply awful

So after listening to this Dumpster fire of a book I have come to the conclusion Audible will turn any crap fest of a book into an audiobook. The start of the story is barely coherent. The MC is of course a pathetic nerd. He literally cannot even jump into the water without messing it up and almost dying.

Of course though all the women in the story can barely resist this suave villain who can’t even take his eyes off big tits to have a conversation. Yet no woman can resist him. This honestly seems like spank bank material from this author (who barely deserves the title of author). The MC is also supposed to be a dangerous villain but he says things like this is against the rules when another villain tries to eat him. (Note in the mentioned conflict he never saves himself)

Another example early in the story our MC pulls his first capper of robbing a liquor store. Which as a powered individual he nearly gets killed by 2 normal people and basically Iceman. Of course he bumbles his way into becoming the most wanted villain and of course the brand new villain who can’t even rob a liquor store manages to one hit the hero. After immediately running away when he realizes that heroes are coming which he fails at escaping then he immediately surrenders without any fight yet in the end the experienced hero is one hit by the noob.

The sex scenes are clearly written by a boy whose sexual expertise seems questionable beyond watching porn. I honestly had to laugh at how this bumbling ftard who can’t even take his eyes off big boobs is a superstar lover. I skipped through that junk the best I could so I do not really know my next theory but based on how bad the writing is I’m guessing the MC has a massive member and is a prolific lover, even though he’s inexperienced and cannot even jump in the water without almost dying.

But if you enjoy listening to a story about an extremely pathetic MC who is irresistible to women and fails upward you most likely will enjoy it.

Conclusion this is clearly a power/sex fantasy written by someone who most likely has barely any of either. Avoid this like someone with an STD on a dating site.

Not bad but same BV Larson rehashed story

Not bad but B.V. clearly needs an editor and to reread his writing when he takes a break. For instance at one point around the last 2 hours the main character is summoned somewhere. Yet nothing comes of it he never goes and nothing is said about it. But it also is involved with the main secondary plot. Last B.V. literally has the same female subplots in all his book. Go read the second book of his undying mercenaries series called Dust World and you’ll meet an Anna in that too but her name is Della I believe.

Mark Boyett does a great job too bad he’s stuck reading for BV so much just like Undying Mercenaries I will not be continuing the series.

BV take a break and rethink your approach because I use to really enjoy your books it will be at least a year before I will consider anything you write. More likely I won’t be paying for anything by BV for a long time.

A story worthy of a Primarchs return

Hot Garbage

I really wanted to like this book, but sadly I can’t forgive the writer for wasting 24 hours of my life. That’s the amount of time saved by eliminating over descriptive hallway walks, repetitive fight, and by decreasing the Smart MCs number of stupid acts. Also narrator didn’t even seem to like the book.

Not normally into these stories

I’m not normally a fan of the beautiful vampire and the social outcast who secretly manages to have an almost perfect physique, skills of a professional fighter, an amazing hidden power and wealth, but can’t talk to women. Until he meets basically the female version of himself except she’s also a vampire princess who basically falls in love with him after their first encounter. In this story we have this in spades and all the cliches that go along with it, which makes me surprised I enjoyed the story.

That said this book was great I am very lucky that my friend suggested it when I said I was looking for something different. The only other issue I had was how the main character seems like he’s very close to being a Mary Sue and OP as hell.

More Thrawn in a Thrawn book please

It seems common sense that Thrawn being the main character who the title even references should appear in a majority of the story. Yet it is hardly the case my best guess Thrawn is in about 1 in 4 chapters. It seemed Thrawn was a background character and an afterthought, more than a main character. Someone belongs in prison

How is Jean not in prison she seems like an absolutely vile human being. This is a perfect example of why someone with a lot of money should never remarry. The story is absolutely heartbreaking. There is a special place in hell for Jean and all the people who helped her pull this off.

Chapter on giving

The book is ok as is the narrator. But I have to comment on the chapter of giving. I like the idea very much but it really bugs me to hear about a government well program for Africa. Do not misunderstand I think that’s great, but we don’t h
ave clean drinking water in our own country. Hell even taking a shower in Flint Michigan is not good for your health. How about we fix our own country first.
