Well this was freaking adorable. I love how much Dylan and Gravity wrapped Rhyland around their fingers and turned his life upside down and gave him everything he never had growing up in terms of a loving family. Dylan was such a great mom, but I really loved the way she struggled to prioritize her daughter and still be her own person, because it was so relatable. And Rhyland finally maturing was so satisfying.

Overall, this one had a lot less one-liners than Truly Madly Deeply, but I still devoured it in one sitting because it was so sweet. The last 15% was so over the top, but I didn’t care.

I love all the characters in this series. Cal, Row, and Kieran all being central to the story still was like a little reunion. Still waiting on Tate and Gia’s story next because they’ve been on the verge of love for years, and he really needs someone to make him less of an asshole. And I’d really love to see Kieran become a happy man one day too.

Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood were great on the audiobook. I’ll be relistening to this one for sure.

Abby Jimenez has once again ripped out my heart, stomped on it, and made me giddy with happiness and swoon all in the same book. I don’t know how she does it, but she delivers EVERY SINGLE TIME. And this book has once again kept her at the top of my list of favorite romance authors. I loved it so much and I’m just trying to decide how soon is too soon to reread it several more times.

Xavier Rush - VILF, the human version of Rhysand, who rescues dogs, admits when he’s wrong, makes playlists for the woman he loves, works harder than anyone should have to, and is all around the nicest guy in the world - had me falling in love after approximately 2 minutes on the page. I swooned so hard over this man from start to finish.

Samantha had the worst year throughout this book. I was so sad, frustrated, and angry for her the entire time. I can’t imagine being a full time caretaker to an ailing family member - that would be without a doubt the hardest job I could think of. Even the patches of sunlight and humor sprinkled in, like the disappearance of one single ear bud and a deflating air mattress, were too fleeting to feel good about, yet I was always confident in Xavier’s ability to be there for her. And he was. There’s no way she would’ve gotten through everything with her family if he hadn’t been; his support and love made her stronger.

I loved that Abby didn’t shy away from showing the difficulties and costs of a long distance relationship in this book. Having spent about 3 years apart from my husband over the course of our time together, I know firsthand that it is not cheap to overcome. The money conversations in this book were a breath of fresh air, because a topic that shouldn’t be taboo is always swept under the rug in other books.

Money and time and ailing family members added elements of conflict and strife to the relationship that meant we didn’t need additional conflict about their feelings for each other. We didn’t get a third act breakup (praise be!) because external factors caused enough hardships for Xavier and Samantha. It made it all the sweeter that they were able to overcome everything thrown at them to get to their HEA.

Matt Lanter and Christine Lakin were superb on the audiobook. Matt had the exact right dry, sarcastic tone that Xavier needed, and Christine was phenomenal at putting every emotion she had into Samantha (which was pretty much every emotion a human can feel).

This is my favorite book in the series now. Kai was the best dad to Max, so loving and always making him a priority. And really, is there anything sexier than a good dad? No there is not. Miller was the perfect person to get Kai to start living his own life again, and I loved her journey from hard-ass to emotional as she fell in love with Kai and Max. Her relationship with Monty was so sweet too, really showing that anyone can be a parent if they love the kid, regardless of blood relation.

I’m so excited for Isaiah and Kennedy’s book! The setup for them was perfect. And just a month away from finally getting Rio’s book makes me happy too.

The audiobook narration by Megan Wicks was great. She had the exact raspy voice that Miller was described with. Alex Kydd is still not my favorite male narrator because he adds a chuckle on nearly every line he says, even when there’s no need to. It grates on me during every book of his that I’ve listened to. If it weren’t for that, he’d be perfect.

Funny Story is Emily Henry’s best book by far. I absolutely adored it. I laughed so hard I cried at the Titanic previous life part (I have no idea why, it probably wasn’t that funny but I was howling to the point that my dog was concerned for my lack of breathing). Miles was such a golden retriever of a man, I wanted to be inside one of his hugs the entire book. Daphne was the book lover nerd inside me and made me want to quit my job to be a librarian, or at least go volunteer at my local library. The town was charming and the old residents who lived there and were obsessed with Miles were also charming. Everything about this book was perfect.

Also, Julia Whelan could narrate a phone book and I’d be enthralled. She was 11/10, no notes perfect in this one, per usual.

This was so so good!! It was everything I expected, reminiscent of the OG Hunger Games. But it also wove in appearances from characters that I never would’ve guessed were coming, setting up the alliances that carried through Catching Fire and Mockingjay. It also had the most heart wrenching story outside of the Games themselves, and I completely understand why Haymitch was drunk for the next 25 years. This was the perfect prequel novel.

I loved this series so much! It was the perfect romantasy, so swoony, with all my favorite tropes. It was predictable in a way that kept me from feeling anxious, but still had enough twists to keep me reading for hours on end to find out what would happen next. I also loved the many full circle call backs to book 1. I’ll be rereading this series in the future for sure.

Audiobook narration was great all the way through!

I don’t know if it was the fact that this was book 4 of repeating the same football season, or the ick that I got from Brady getting a tattoo for Piper just 2 weeks into dating (probably both), but I’m honestly glad this series is over at this point. The football side of the story would’ve been 100x better if the first two books were 1 season and the last two books were the following season. It would’ve been perfectly believable for 2 seniors and 2 juniors to be roommates at the start, and seen each of their senior years play out. I wouldn’t have gotten so bored from reading about the same winning streak 4 different times, but as it was I had to force myself to keep going.

As for the romance in this one, Brady was overall a sweet guy and Piper was a strong woman, but I just didn’t quite get their relationship or dynamic. It felt like Brady became a doormat just to get Piper to like him, and Piper just wanted to be chased the whole time. When they brought in both being virgins as an added trope, it felt like a forcing function for their feelings and being attached to each other, instead of being romantic.

No shade to anything women want to do online to make money, as long as they’re in control of their own body while doing it. But if you’re getting blackmailed about your online persona, you should really tell the police instead of posting extra videos to pay off your blackmailer.

The audiobook narration was good, no complaints for Kelsey Navarro Foster or Sean Masters.

Thanks to PinUp Audio for the ARC of this audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

This was such a great sequel for Five Broken Blades! The story picked up right after FBB and we dove into action pretty quickly. I absolutely love the writing style for this series of bouncing between the six POVs constantly - there’s never time to get bored of anyone, we get different perspectives of the action and the fallout afterwards, and not knowing whose head you’re going to jump into next makes you want to keep going. My favorite character from FBB reigns in FRR - my girl Sora has been through some shit, but she’s still strong and loving and protective, and I never want anything bad to happen to her. We did get a number of new characters in this book, but it wasn’t overwhelming because the plot always kept moving. There was fun new world building and lore and politics and magic that I can’t wait to see play out in book 3 to close the trilogy.

This is still one of my favorites to listen to on audio because of the full cast for all the POVs. The narrators are all great.

Thanks to Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for the ebook ARC! I purchased the audiobook myself, so I could go back and forth between the two while enjoying the stellar narration. I also participated in the Entangled Insiders Readalong discussion. This is my honest review.

Trigger warning: domestic abuse.

I loved this book! Quinn was a walking disaster, but her sexploits while trying to lose her virginity were hilarious. She was sassy and not afraid to dish out some serious disses, and was a great sport when she got dissed right back. Cooper was such a good guy despite his reputation, and genuinely had Quinn’s best interests at heart the whole book. Their chemistry was so good, and the spice was the perfect level considering there were darker themes woven in the story.

Cooper was incredibly caring and protective of his mom - the portrayals of domestic abuse against her had my heart truly aching for them both. The end didn’t have the resolution I was expecting for that plot line, but it was very realistic, which I think readers need to see.

The audiobook narration by James Cassidy and Lucy Rivers was great. James played growly jokester Cooper to a T. Lucy had stellar emotional range for the sadder parts of the book.

Thank you to PinUp Audio for the audiobook ARC in exchange for my honest review!

This book completely lived up to the hype. It was hilarious, adorable, and spicy. The banter was truly top tier. Sloane and Rowan were both so endearing. It was also just the right amount of gross and scary to make it feel like it was about serial killers, without making me want to puke or have nightmares. Leather & Lark, here I come!

This is one of the best duet audiobooks I’ve ever listened to. Just wow.
