I've lost count of the times I've enjoyed reading the first set of the Shannara series of books. Excellent reading or listening material I'm so glad I discovered many years ago. One day I might make it through all of them, that is if I can ever stop rereading my favorites first lol

Overall I enjoyed this one

I really enjoyed this book and wished there was more of it. I do feel like it could've been stretched out into multiple books for it's own character series within the series. There were a few areas where I felt a bit of skipping, or glossing over, was done where some scenes didn't smoothly transition.
On the more positive side I did love the characters, the storyline was intriguing and I will say again that I genuinely enjoyed the book. It kept my attention to the point i stayed up listening till the book was finished wishing it could've continued a while longer.

Not for everyone but I enjoyed it

It's coarse, bawdy and definitely 18+ plus only. It's a predictable story line that, as I stated, isn't for everyone. I enjoyed it for a break from the usual lighter language and drawn out reads. I'll be checking into purchasing the next book soon.
