Historia
Steve Harvey can't count the number of impressive women he's met over the years - the many incredible women who can run a business, have three kids, maintain a household in tiptop shape, and chair a church group all at the same time. So when it comes to relationships, why can't these same women figure out what makes men commit? According to Steve, it's because they're asking other women for advice when they should be going directly to the source.

Men are Pigs
Revisado: 09-10-16
What disappointed you about Act like a Lady, Think like a Man?
What I detested about this book is that it stated that all men are generally all pigs who can't control their desires. Which makes them animals incapable of making higher intelligent choices. And all the fault in a relationship gone wrong is the women in them. There are some good points in the first half of the book (because I couldn't finish the second half) about women standing up for themselves but overall rubbish. Also, I figured Steve harvey was a man who supported women but he applauds the fact that his wife gave up two things she really enjoys because it bothered him....I am assuming in their relationship that works but in the book it comes off as unfair.
What could Steve Harvey have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Been his own narrator and.

Fear can save your life. It directs you to avoid that stranger, to leave the room, to call for help. The intuitive message of fear, together with rational principles, can help you to predict and thereby avoid personal violence. In this program Gavin de Becker, America's leading expert on predicting violent behavior, demystifies the apparently random and unpredictable nature of violence and shows you how interpersonal violence can be detected and derailed.

What made the experience of listening to The Gift of Fear the most enjoyable?
So much great information presented. I have listened to this book over 15 times. Every time I walk away with more information. I have recommended this to friends and family and I am so excited when they learn from it as well.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Gift of Fear?
The story at the very beginning draws you in immediately and then spending the next chapter breaking that experience down and learning from it.
What about Gavin de Becker’s performance did you like?
Easy to listen to. Appreciate the emotions.
What insight do you think you’ll apply from The Gift of Fear?
I apply principles taught in the Gift of Fear daily. I use it as I hire, discipline, and fire employees. In my dating life. And when walking through the parking lot at the grocery store.

Couldn't Stop Listening
Revisado: 08-10-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I not only would recommend this to a friend but I have. And I am grateful a friend recommended it to me. I hope that friends recommending it to friends makes this a book well loved by many more people.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Sarah by far. I loved her smarts, her grit, and her strength. She handled life even when it was unpleasant and she cared for those around her.
What about Amy Rubinate’s performance did you like?
Overall a strong performance. There were many times though that the narrator ruined a moment because I feel she narrated a sentence with very flat emotions. In my head Sarah didn't match the voice of the narrator.

Meet Ove. He's a curmudgeon - the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. People call him "the bitter neighbor from hell". But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness.
